Public Notice

From Weston County School District #1 Superintendent Brad LaCroix:

The lockdown at Newcastle High School has ended. Law enforcement officials have completed their sweep of the building and given the all-clear. A weapon was recovered and the incident has been resolved without any injuries. Staff and students will resume normal activities and there will be no modifications to the daily schedule. School will recess at its normal scheduled time.

Public Notice-Meeting Changes

The Weston County Board of Trustees Board Retreat that was scheduled for Wednesday, March 1st at the Pizza Barn has been cancelled. The School Board meeting that was scheduled for February 22nd has been rescheduled to Wednesday, March 1st in the board room at the administrative office. They will have a 4:00 pm early start for board training followed by the board meeting at 7:00 pm.
